Good morning members. A new fire pit has been delivered to the cabin. Betty Pfeifer had given the lodge a memorial gift in memory of Big Lar-so we had a customized fire ring built by Billy Bowe. It's two pieces, the ring, and the base with legs, that the ring sits on. So it's easily moveable. When we left yesterday, we did "hide"it behind the wood pile. Not that someone would steal a customized memorial, but let's make it less of a temptation for a passerby, when you do pack up to leave the cabin. Thanks to Rick for dismantling the old fire pit. That was not an easy job. And also thanks to Rick and Bonnie-when we arrived the lawn was mowed-the cabin clean. Even some beer left in the fridge. Very much appreciated. Shout out to everybody that just does "jobs that need to be done". Here's to "Big Lar" , Thank you Betty, and enjoy the summer lodge members. Bruce and Bec

The cabin has a new coat of epoxy paint on the kitchen floor. A different stove is in place. 6 chairs with no feet are in the dump. A new mop and bucket along with some no rinse cleaner are now part of the cabins cleaning arsenal. The kitchen and bedroom floor plan has changed to take advantage of every square inch of room.

Last Thursday nights downpour filled our drainage ditch up to the threshold on the back door. I dug out some high spots that were plugging things up. I think a gutter and down spout on the back stoop area may help however cleaning out the area with a rake each time may prove to be enough.

Hey fellow members! Glad to see you have made the trip to the cabin from your computer. Lets try this out and see how it works for a while. Once you make an account and sign in you can post pictures, hilarious one liners, and most importantly the dates on the calander that you want to use the cabin. By posting "private" or "room for more" inside of your use dates you will be able to let other members know if they can use it with you. Any other ideas are always welcome. This is something new for all of us so be patient and spend some time to get used to it. If all else fails, give me a call and maybe I can walk you through it. See ya in the great north woods.
Joe
